About
Artist Statement
My work begins with accumulation — layers of paint, material, and time that build toward something I can't fully anticipate. I am drawn to the moment when a surface becomes more than itself, when texture and color conspire to suggest depth, memory, or weight.
Working primarily in oil and mixed media, I move between abstraction and the residue of observed experience. The studio is a place of sustained attention — slow looking, slow making. Each work is a record of that duration.
I am based in Chelsea, New York, where I maintain a working studio and exhibit regularly with galleries and institutions in the city.
